LIFE MATTERS

I discuss here the Matters of Life because Life Matters. From the very moments of conception until we meet face to face with Christ our creator. I share with my readers how my Christian Faith influences my biblical response to the events all around me.

Santa was doing his annual fight checks of the skies of the North Pole when he notice Jesus had a look of total despair on his face.

'Hay Jesus, why are you looking so glum. . . it is the season to be jolly!'

'Gee, Santa I don't see any thing to be 'joyful' about this year. Have you looked down there lately? Everyone is so busy getting ready for your arrival. Buying there last minute Christmas gifts. Worrying about buying their kids better Christmas presents than the kids down the street!

All the ladies are worried about what to wear to there Christmas parties and their men folk aren't much better with their beer drinking competition. Santa, I just can't see the Christmas spirit happening down there on earth at present."

Santa took a deep sire,      "Ha! Yes well I know what you mean." He gives his laptop to Jesus, "as you know the kiddies down there think I keep a list of whose naught and nice . . ."

Jesus opens Santa's word document "The Nice List!", 'But Santa this document is empty! You're spent all year keeping a list and checking it twice and you can't find one nice person?"

'Ha, let me see there must be a computer glitch or may be a virus has wiped my files again." Santa start tapping on his key board. '. . . Ahh Jesus, you've open the wrong file. See these to files here. "The Final Nice List" and "Santa's Gift List for 2011."

Jesus opens the Final Nice List word document and  JESUS CHRIST appears on the screen. For the first time Jesus has a smile on his face.

'Gee, Santa thanks!'

'Jesus I know you see what I see. A world full of sinful selfish people. There is not one person down there who doesn't have a selfish ambition for an entire year'.

'umm! I forget I don't see that!' Jesus, sends his "Book of Life" file to Santa's laptop and opens the document, 'see here Santa. Here is a list of all the people who have ever lived on earth, including the people at the bottom of the list who are still alive who sin, I no long see.'

'What's that writing in red after there names?'

Their sin is covered by my blood!

'You see all these people appear as white as snow to me. Look here's my satalite.' Santa see tiny black, red and white  moving dots on the screen.

'Why are some dots changing from black to white?'

'Ahh . . . that's because people are confessing there sins and coming to me for forgiveness. But I've noticed something Santa, the document "Santa's Gift List For 2011" is a huge file, but you only got my name on the nice list.'

'Well that's because I give gifts to people whether they naught or nice. Despite what people believe giving should be unconditional.  Like you Jesus, you love people whether they believe in you or not.'

Jesus can't help smiling now, he's temporarily forgot the Silly Season that taken place below. 'Yes Christmas is about giving, you're right Santa.'

'Isn't it also about a special gift you gave once. When God allow you to become a man and be born a baby. So you could live in the world with all its sinful temptations, yet resist the temptation to sin. But as I remember, even that wasn't enough. Though you committed no crime you were sentence to death. You were the perfect sacrifice  Because of your death and resurrection mankind has direct communication with God the father and will rein with him in the kingdom of heaven.'

'Yes that's what million of my believers celebrate at Christmas time. They remember I God himself humbled himself to become a man to save mankind from there sin.

Santa wipes the tears from his eyes, 'Jesus that is beautiful!'

'Thank for reminding me true reason for Christmas and their are millions around the world showing the true spirit of Christmas'

'Merry Christmas Jesus.'
